Windows Holographic 21H1 Update brings new major features to Hollens

The first update of the main feature of Windows 10 of the year is already being prepared for deployment, but it seems that Hololans 2 receives DIBS on its own major update before PCs. In fact, this update could be even more packaged than Windows 10 May 2021 updated itself. Windows Holographic version 21H1 is now available for download and finally brings a better version of Microsoft from its Edge web browser, that based on Google Chrome, of course.

Microsoft grows its chrome-based edge rather aggressively, wherever it can, replacing the old Edgehtml version as if it ever existed. It’s not just about PCs, of course, and even its mixed reality platform gets the new Microsoft Edge web browser. And it’s not just about having a bright and modern web browser either.

The new edge also allows WebXR experiments that the oldest web engine could not support. Perhaps more importantly, it also allows you to install PWAS or progressive web applications alongside suitable Windows applications in Microsoft Store. Microsoft has also pushed these difficult web applications in an attempt to fill the gaps left by its UWP platform.

Windows Holographic version 21H1 also pushes some changes to the UI operating system settings. A very noteworthy change is the power menu that behaves now and seems more similar to those you see in Windows 10 on desktop computers. This includes orange points that indicate an update will occur when you restart or close the device.

The upgrade also facilitates the manipulation of multiple less painful users, now displaying a list of users on the login screen to avoid typing usernames again and again. For kiosk devices, visitors can also be automatically connected, although this default behavior can also be disabled by the device administrator. Windows Holographic 21H1 is available for The Hololens 2 and also marks the end of the support for the old 1903 version from two years.
