Sennheiser IE 900 High Performance Wired Earphones are made for audiophiles

Sennheiser is back with a new pair of wired buffers designed for audiophiles looking for high quality audio on a portable form factor. The newly unveiled Sennheiser, ie 900 intra-ear headphones of the manufacturer’s X3R transducer with a triple-chamber absorbing system and crushed housings from an aluminum block. The design, Sennheiser said, does “even the subtle nuances of his sound.”

The X3R is, according to Sennheiser, a refined version of its 7 mm extra large band transducer. The design is intended to face the masking effect, which refers to an acoustic phenomenon in which the listener will not be able to hear higher frequency sounds at a lower volume if lower frequency sounds are played at a stronger volume at the same time.

Sennheiser displays the IE 900 cables with 2.5 mm and 4.4 mm balanced cables, as well as an unbalanced 3.5 mm cable.
