NASA explains how the fifth flight of the helicopter of ingenuity will be different from others

NASA programmed the fifth flight for the ingenuity helicopter on Mars for Friday, May 7, May 7, May 7. The flight targeted a take-off duration of 12:33, Local Time March, at 15:26 EDT. Assuming that the target take-off time is touched, the data will begin to go down to 19:31 EDT. For the fifth flight, the ingenuity will take off from Wright Brothers Field, the same place where the helicopter took off and touched all other flights.

Although the location of takeoff of the fifth flight is the same, where the helicopter lands will be different. During the fifth flight, the ingenuity will rise at an altitude of 16 feet and retrace its course of the first four flights to the south of 423 feet. Rather than turning around and returning to his starting point like he previously has, Ingenuity climb to a new height of 33 feet while NASA takes pictures of color and black and white from the region.

The flight should last about 110 seconds before the lands of ingenuity mark the completion of its first one-way flight. After landing at its new location, NASA says it will start a new demonstration phase. This new demonstration phase will present what technology can do to help other missions on the road. NASA used the fourth flight of the scout helicopter for a new landing zone at about 328 feet.

The ingenuity team used data collected by the helicopter to build digital elevation cards giving the trust of the mission controllers that the new aerodrome was flat and ideal for landing. So far, ingenuity has been very successful and NASA emphasizes that the helicopter is more robust than they hoped.

The mission controllers say the energy system has provided more than enough energy so that helicopter heating devices work during the night and to conduct flight operations during the day. Ingenuity will travel to a new base station because it must be closer to perseverance and the new base is in the direction of Rover.
